Christine “Chris” Jeffreys brings over 20 years of experience as a business professional in the field of Human Resources. Ms. Jeffreys began her career in Human Resources in 1987. She has served in the capacity of Corporate Staffing Officer with Imperial Bank, Human Resources Manager with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Client Services Human Resources Manager III with Southern California Edison at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station and Vice President of Recruitment with Lehman Brothers.
Ms. Jeffreys’ external consulting experience began in 2010. Since that time she has served in retained recruiting engagements and general HR consulting capacity to such clients as Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital. CHOC Children’s Hospital of Orange, Orange Coast Community College District, Vance & Hines, Motorsport Aftermarket Group, Mustang Seats, Maines Paper & Foodservice, and Ventura Foods, LLC.
Ms. Jeffreys’ most recently provided start-up support as the interim Director of Recruitment at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital, a new state-of-the-art, 131 bed safety net hospital in South Los Angeles. She focused on workforce planning, pre-opening staffing, end-to-end processes for full-life cycle recruitment, applicant tracking system, vendor relations, on-boarding and compliance. In addition, Ms. Jeffreys’ also provided leadership to the team of contract recruiters and support staff, achieving over 500 hire in nursing, allied health and support services. The hospital opened May 2015.
Her engagement at CHOC included the implementation of TALEO, an enterprise wide applicant tracking system solution. Ms. Jeffreys also assisted CHOC with workforce planning and strategic recruitment planning to staff CHOC’s new tower which opened April 2013. The staffing plan for CHOC’s new tower includes over 400 new positions in nursing, allied health, and support services.
With a passion for learning and knowledge sharing, Ms. Jeffreys has designed and implemented customized Target Selection Interview Skills Training for hiring managers and recruiters. In addition, she is part-time faculty at California State University Fullerton’s Extended Education Program and University of Redlands School of Continuing Studies, and teaches recruitment, selection and retention courses.
Ms. Jeffreys earned a Masters in Human Resources from Chapman University, in Orange, California and a B.A. in American Studies from California State University Fullerton, in Fullerton, California. In addition she has received a Graduate Certification in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University, in Orange California.
