Dr. Anita Polite-Wilson has been a respected and influential educator and developer of organizational leaders for more than 20 years. Leveraging her complementary skill sets as a trainer, facilitator, and coach have resulted in the successful implementation of various human & organizational systems interventions that increase organizational synergy and resiliency. She is a well-rounded scholar-practitioner with expertise in the knowledge areas of adult learning theory, coaching and mentoring, and organizational leadership initiatives that align with the goals and objectives of corporate, government, and non-profit entities.
Dr. Polite-Wilson has worked across several industries and has spent the last 14 years among the aerospace community collaborating with an intergenerational workforce of engineers, scientists, business professionals and leaders. She is known for her ability to relate to analytical minds at all organizational levels and enhance teaming effectiveness as an educator, facilitator, coach, and mentor in 1:1 and 1-to-many engagements. As a result, Dr. Polite-Wilson became the “go-to” facilitator for strategic planning off-sites and cross-functional program activities between government and contractor principals.
As a private consultant, Dr. Polite-Wilson has provided the design, development, and delivery of leadership and management skills training for such organizations as the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers, Unified Western Grocers Inc., and The Barlow Respiratory Hospital Foundation, just to name a few.
As a faculty member of the Elevate Leadership Program in association with the Center for Executive Development for the Rady School of Management at UC San Diego, Dr. Polite-Wilson is committed to influencing and shaping emerging leaders among the ranks of frontline technical professionals within the aerospace industry for clients such as Boeing, Raytheon, and Northrop Grumman.
As a community servant, Dr. Polite-Wilson has created and personally funded several interpersonal development initiatives. These customized learning events take the form of small group intensives for individuals, strategic planning sessions for small teams, and Collective Wisdom Forums for groups up to 1,000. Her research has shown that people who feel connected through joint dialogue will discover that the answers to common challenges are found within individuals, teams, and organizational systems.
Dr. Polite-Wilson earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Management from Pepperdine University, Malibu, California, a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Organizational Leadership from Biola University, La Mirada, California, and a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree and a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara, California. Additionally, she is a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, an iPEC Certified Professional Coach, and an Energy Leadership Index Master Coach.
